TOPOPRO®

Purpose-built LiDAR post-processing for land surveying

Conquer point cloud bloat and extract better deliverables through a transparent, end-to-end pipeline with interactive data insights.

The pipeline

Every LAS treatment, documented

Deterministic, repeatable stages — from calibration to TIN — each reported with the parameters applied.

  1. 01

    Calibrate with confidence

A 7-parameter transformation converts geo-referenced point clouds into ground-scaled project coordinates, preserving accuracy and integrating cleanly with your project.

  2. 02

    Scalable tile processing

LAS tiles are processed efficiently while indexing adjacent tile data for seamless conformity across boundaries.

  3. 03

    Multi-stage classification

Deterministic, repeatable ground classification, with local AI providing best-effort classification of built features.

  4. 04

    Smart thinning

The most geometrically reliable ground points are preserved to hit target density while redundant data is removed.

  5. 05

    Vertical bias adjustment

Systematic Z-bias is identified and adjusted using project control so ground and off-ground points align with your vertical control.

  6. 06

    Clip to survey limits

Processed clouds are clipped to your survey limits plus a buffer, in your project's ground or grid coordinate system.

  7. 07

    Point cloud quality reporting

ASPRS-based validation against check shots, with vertical RMSE, per-shot ΔZ, and outlier alerts.

  8. 08

    Grade breaks & flow lines

Advanced algorithms extract grade break and flow line vertices directly from the point cloud for surface integration.

  9. 09

    3D breakline enforcement

Feature breaklines and additional topo points at terrain discontinuities are extracted and enforced in your TIN surface, preserving sharp edges and ground features.

  10. 10

    Topo/TIN & terrain-fit reporting

Points, contours, and LandXML TIN — with CAD models tested against thousands of random samples.

  11. 11

    Interactive quality report

An interactive HTML report breaks down every LAS treatment and extraction with parameters, QC, and 3D visualizations.

Is the TIN dense enough?

See where your TIN meets tolerance

Every TIN is checked against thousands of random LAS ground samples. You see, spot by spot, whether the surface conforms within your tolerance bands, and where it could use more density.

  • Primary: the tightest band, where most samples land
  • Secondary: a wider band, still within your tolerance
  • Maximum: the outer limit. Anything beyond it does not meet surface conformance
Random surface sampling
Illustrative TIN conformance map: ground samples by tolerance bandIllustrative example, not project data. A plan view of a site with its TIN as a faint mesh. Each square is a ground sample. Green squares are within the primary tolerance, blue squares within the secondary tolerance, and orange squares within the maximum tolerance. About 97.7% of the example samples are within the primary band, 99.8% within the secondary band, and all are within the maximum, so none exceed surface conformance. The few blue and orange squares sit where the TIN is sparse.

Say goodbye to black-box processing

Processing transparency, built in

TopoPro's interactive HTML report provides a step-by-step breakdown of LAS treatments and derivative extractions, with applied parameters, QC, and 3D visualizations.

  • Local, no-cloud processing

Your data stays on our workstations end to end.

  • Civil 3D-ready outputs

Points, breakline-enforced contours, and LandXML TIN surfaces.

  • Surface tested across the limits

CAD models are checked against thousands of random samples for terrain fit.
