Brian Yohn, the founder of TopoMatters, boasts an extensive and diverse professional journey spanning over 30 years in B2B services businesses, with a particular emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs). Beyond numerous notable corporate achievements pioneering new businesses at Comcast, DISH Network, Microsoft and others, Brian’s foray into the world of mapping and LiDAR data was fortuitously triggered during a personal undertaking.
While designing his family’s residence in Buena Vista, Colorado, he was introduced to LiDAR data and was immediately captivated by its potential applications. Brian adeptly employed LiDAR data to meticulously craft the site plan for his home, unveiling the vast potential of this cutting-edge technology.
This endeavor sparked a profound passion for exploring complementary technology solutions, such as unmanned aircraft systems and advances in geospatial computing, to deliver high value commercial mapping products to the end user.
Brian and his team are FAA Part 107 certified remote pilots and meet the regulatory requirements to conduct commercial unmanned aircraft operations.
